New book about History of Newark Air Museum

Post by NAM Updater » Sat Nov 12, 2016 12:16 pm

A new book entitled “Preservation Pioneers – Newark Air Museum 1963 – 2015” has just been published.

It is the story of Newark Air Museum from its first aircraft through to the end of 2015; it has been researched by museum member Colin Savill, and has been published by the museum.

The book covers the history on a year by year basis and it includes a couple of special chapters to cover a notable events. It also features an Appendix entitled “Ones that got away” to record airframes that have been at Newark Air Museum and moved on; plus some notable ‘near-misses’ on the acquisition side.

Copies are now available from the NAM Shop and there will be a book signing session / meet the author on Saturday 10th December 2016 further details about the book can be found in here!

A good print deal allows us to offer the Museum History books to other groups and bookshops at industry standard trade terms, which will allow them to resell the books with an appropriate mark-up – terms on application, PM me for details.

This post was prompted by the receipt of the first trade order for this publication via the Nielsens book ordering system.
