We wish! ;)

Plus I can see how you got to that conclusion – but it’s not correct.

The #NAMXmasTease clue was a bit more subtle, but perhaps your suggestion adds to our clue!! :ninja:
Could it be "Sikh-ing". Possibly an Indian AF Jaguar cockpit??

Still no one has it right so here’s the third clue. :pop:

Take heed of the clues to lock you in to the identity of this #NAMXmasTease

You lock in thieves - it's that plane they used in Con-Air. :D

I think that we can safely say that it is of Lockheed origin.

Trenchard could easily be correct as Eastern Airlines did operate Tristars.

But I think that my (very imaginative and wishful) guess would be on an P-3 Orion.

Trenchard is indeed correct, the exhibit as described by RAF Museum in their disposal documentation is:

Title or Object Name: Tristar cockpit simulator (plus supporting technical drawings)”

If anyone has any descent pictures we’d love to see them.

Plus Trenchard, when the exhibit arrives if we can tie up a suitable date / time I’ll try to arrange for you to have a free look over the exhibit! :thumb:

Blimey that was a good guess :D

I would be delighted to accept your invite if we can get our diaries together. :thumb:

I make further posts when we get a confirmation of the delivery date and then tie up a suitable visit date.

Happy Christmas everyone!

After a quick rummage through my hard drives, and if it's the same one, a not decent picture of it hiding behind the Chipmunk in January 2014. :D

Thanks for that Brian, the only image file we currently has is a thumbnail of 100 x 90 pixels.

:halo: Plus before anyone complains about the exhibit being from the 'dark-side' - the first line of defence is that it is being disposed of by the Royal Air Force Museum and the RAF obviously operated the type!

We'd seen a similar shot on Airliners.Net but were not 100% sure it was the same one! :thumb:

We also have a growing list of Argosy Procedure Trainer Instructors who've put their name down on the 'Tristar OCU' - we understand that it is being supplied with a full set of manuals!!

Thanks for a bit of pre-Christmas fun.

Congratulations on the acquisition as well as Trenchard on guessing correctly and his prize.

Season's greetings to all.

We were slightly undecided about when to make the announcement about the new acquisition, but figured that it could be a bit of fun.

Have a great Christmas everyone!
