Everything is set at NAM for a busy Easter Holiday period; even the unsettled weather shouldn’t be too much of an issue with lots to see in 4 undercover display areas!

Plus the latest airframe on the Acquisition Timeline page is the Vampire, which arrived on 30th March 1973.

Despite the closure of the A1 southbound this weekend at the A57/A614 junction and the resultant major traffic chaos in the local area, the museum is open as normal. We’ve even benefited from people getting out of the queues and breaking up their journey with a visit to the museum – open as normal on Sunday!

The museum will be participating again in the BBC Nottingham Big Day Out campaign, which provides free admission to a host of tourist attractions in the county.

Details of participants can be found here N.B. you’ll need the print-out if you want to gain the free admission offer at the museum.

On Sunday we will have several aircraft / cockpits open and a small additional fee is charged to access each one; all proceeds will go towards our ‘Project Panini’ – the new Education Room, Café & Toilet facility.

There is also some traffic advice to be aware of for next weekend – details in here. Plus the first participation details have been added to our website for the Victory Days 2015 event.

The Big Day Out was a huge success, so much so we were so stretched that the TSR2 cockpit didn’t get unwrapped after all. Details about how the day went can be found in here we had 8 different aircraft open on Sunday.

Some good publicity was achieved for the forthcoming NAM events!
