New book about RAF Winthorpe

A new book entitled “RAF Winthorpe – The Story of an Airfield 1939 – 1959” is being release next weekend.

It is the story of RAF Winthorpe (where the museum is located) from its beginnings to its demise as an RAF station; it has been researched by museum member Colin Savill, and is being published by the museum.

Copies will be available from the NAM Shop on Saturday 1st November 2014 and there will be a book signing session / meet the author on Saturday 15th November 2014 further details about the book can be found in here!

The date for the book being available has now been updated and it should be in the Museum Shop from 10am on Friday 31st October 2014.

The book signing / meet the author session still arranged for Saturday 15th November 2014; anyone purchasing a copy of the book before the 25th will be more than welcome to come along to the signing session. :thumb:

Just a quick reminder that this coming Saturday (15th November) the museum is hosting a book signing session for the new RAF Winthorpe book; this will take place in the museum shop from 10am until 3pm – full details can be found in here!
