Large scale exercise planned

Post by Parascience » Wed Mar 02, 2016 7:38 am

From 12-22 April a large scale exercise is planned for Castlemartin. It will involve numerous air assets including Chinook, Merlin, Apache and possibly French Air Force.
Peak activities are likely to be around 16th-17th when the entire range is closed to public access. It's not certain if this closure will affect access to viewing area.

I've posted in the mess forum - the old RAF Templeton is hosting a combined British-French air assault force from the 17th to the 23rd. 500 strong with a mix of helos. I'm also trying to get a date for a landing craft assault which is also scheduled in the area.
