Single Typhoon

Typhoon "06" doing a few runs over Tain Range, leaving at 14:08. Was too far to see markings unfortunately.

Will this be one of the soon to be locals on a little look around to see it's new area from Lossie?

Leuchars 06 and Leuchars 11 were both on the range on Monday. There's been an increase in Typhoons using the range, as most have been calling Lossie approach for transit to and from the range.

they don't seem to keen to come in low, every time I've been out with the camera and they're over the range they fly far too high

I've stopped trying to catch one on the range now, I'll wait until Lossie gets a squadron then pop over, saves on foot power

Yeh they don't do really low passes like the Tornado, perhaps they are not cleared for such things yet:)

I had a look at the range this afternoon when they were over, Venom 1,2 & 4 with 3 arriving about 15 minutes after the others.
They did some simulated attacks from 10k to no less than 4k and did a few more from the other side from 10k down to about 1k.
They shoved off around 17:05 in a nice finger four at medium level. Got a few shots although nothing worth posting but do confirm 6 sqn markings.
Hope these guys start doing some nice low passes soon otherwise I'm gonna need a longer range lens ;)
