JTAC IP Plug Question.

Post by 21zebra » Mon Mar 23, 2015 2:52 pm

Whilst sitting on the range waiting for the A10 no show, I heard JTACs using the phrase " IP Plug "
Strangely some pilots were familiar with it others not, anyone know what it is ?

The IP 'INITIAL POINT' is the start of the 9 Liner CAS Brief instructions For fixed-wing aircraft, the starting point for the run to the target, so at a guess maybe some crews were familiar with the starting point and others were not.
