Hi All,
Been out for a Friday morning (weekend is Friday/Saturday) wander in Taif, Saudi Arabia. What started out to be a rather poor and quiet day, ended up being a very good day with at least 2 first time sightings. I've never been lucky enough to see Ospreys in the wild in the UK but saw one today. That was great but later on in the walk we seen a pair of Osprey and managed to capture them on the wing in the same bit of air. Result.

Another excellent selection Ian. You're right about the juv Night Heron, that's exactly what it is.
I'm not 100% on the Egret but think it might be a juv Western Reef Heron / Egret. I remember a controversial bird in Dorset in the early 2000s that had many people scratching their heads but yours looks a lot better for a genuine one (tho I had to compare with other pics!).

We've quite a few Little Egrets around the Morecambe Bay area now; last year I saw one together with a Grey Heron in the same field puddle just outside Lindale, Grange over Sands. Last one seen was Thursday in the Esk estuary (plus three Ravens) at Ravenglass.

Brilliant selection Ian. Osprey shots as just stunning Nice to see Bee-Eaters, remember my first sightings in Greece some years back, had never seen anything so stunning.
