USS Harry Truman - CVN-75 at night

Post by PeteHemsley » Mon Oct 08, 2018 9:42 pm

Popped down to Stokes bay after work tonight to see how the carrier was looking at night. Well.....it wasn't great. Near no lighting at all so i made the most of reflected light from passing ships.

Just the one image

Nice one Pete - that is a really good photo. Personally the long exposure streaks from the passing lights (I assume that's what they are) don't really distract that much. I suppose you could always clone them out with a bit of effort if you wanted to. Anyway, works for me on two counts - one it's an aircraft carrier, and secondly it's a night shot. :thumb:

Great shot Pete. I did think of doing a night shot but wasn't sure it would work. Now I wish I had!

Well done and thanks for sharing!

Pete, you did well. I went down about 9pm on the Sunday night and all I could see was the "75" lit up and a few lights. Otherwise it was pitch black so gave up on trying a night shot.

That pretty much describes what I had in front of me. It
Was damned hard to get a solid shot.

Thanks all for the comments.
