Bearded tit and Bittern RSPB Lakenheath Fen
Bearded tit and Bittern RSPB Lakenheath Fen
Hi all,
Early morning start to head to Lakenheath Fen to see what was about. Always great to hear Cuckoos and see Marsh Harriers and Hobbies. I was more than happy to photograph a couple of regulars in the shape of Bearded manboobs! and a Bittern.

Fabulous shots Mike. Yet to see a bearded anywhere. Did manage to get a record shot of a cuckoo in flight a few evenings ago - much to my wife's annoyance!

Lovely shots. Never seen the bearded one. Just returned from Alaska, where I saw many bald eagles, but I have never done photography unfortunately. I always appreciate the 'photos on here.

Superb photos! Although the thread title is a bit misleading - I expected to find pictures of Jeremy Corbyn!

Lakenheath Fen is one of my favourite places.
Seen the Bittern twice, seen the Beardies and the Cuckoo.
Last year we spent 10 or 15 minutes watching a young Stoat (or Weasel ?) mucking about on one of the paths.
Also once spent far too long watching a Hobby asleep in a tree.
It’s a good place to watch Hobbies catching Dragonflies too.
Excellent pictures by the way.
Visit Recommended !

Lovely sharp pictures.

Gyvespa. Always remember that the weasel is weasely recognised, and the stoat is stoatally different.
