Bears

Post by Ross Forsyth » Sat Mar 31, 2018 2:11 pm

A few years ago I was fortunate to make a couple of visits to Alaska to spend time with Coastal Brown Bears up close and personal including a week spent camping for 7 days in Halo Bay meaning 24 hours of bear activity.
With Alaska now permitting the killing of Bears while they hibernate in their dens aswell as shooting them from the air i`ll most likely not be returning as clearly their lust to shoot animals for the fun of it outweighs my tourist $,don`t get me wrong I know
there are people who are subsistence hunting but it seems the trophy hunting market is alive and well.
Anyway on with the images.

What a wonderful set of pictures. I thought your eagle shots were good, but these are just out of this world. I just can't believe that there are people that want to go out a shoot these wonderful animals.

Stunning, particularly 7, 8 & 9 - the colours and composition are fantastic! Must have been an amazing trip to see the bears up close and personal, and those cubs!

Cruising Alaska in a fortnights time. Hate hunting, love animals [despite a bull elephant trying to kill me twice in South Africa!!!!] :)

These are fantastic, love the sunrise pictures and the concentration on the bear's face in 10 & 11 must have been magical spending time with them.
