2017 - Commemoration of the Battle of the Bulk.

HY everybody.
Each year, a lot of people, reeneactors, jeeps and trucks enthusiasts, celebrate the Battle of the Bulge.
For two days, the commemeration has taken place in 3 differents locations: Manhay, Hardigny and the Military barracks of Bastogne.

I choose Sunday and I went to Hardigny and Bastogne. So I miss the vehicle journeys in Manhay... All vehicules driving through the woods and steams and rivers.

So I decide to focus on Historical Reenactors.
Like a photograph, when we take an active role in commemoration we become part of a legacy of remembrance and gratitude.

Is the place to go, it was at the Hop Farm for years, then moved to the Folkestone area, now appears to have returned to the Hop Farm, a much nicer venue.

We’ve been many times, usually go every other year, it’s enormous you need a full day or more.
Make sure you look at the site map.

If you need accommodation, book early. We stay at Hastings it’s only about 30 mins away.

Watching a Tank Battle with blank shells being fired is an education. Not for the nervous.
Take wellies, is was like Glastonbury one year.
