Kingfisher Superstar

Post by XWP29 » Sat Sep 16, 2017 1:55 pm

Over recent weeks a female Kingfisher has been frequenting the area in front of Bernard’s Hide at Lackford Lakes and been featured on BBC look east. This marvellous bird is making long appearances whilst hunting Dragonfly nymphs and small fry in the shallows. The bird will come close to the hide if the occupants are quiet! If you do visit please contribute to the collection box in the visitor centre for the Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Good to see alot of FC folk about!

Shot from Monday, difficult to get diving shots as the water has become covered with weed. Still the Kingfisher is still showing.
