Sparrowhawk Chicks
A small selection of images from a Sparrowhawk nest I was fortunate to be able to photograph on the 1st and 17th July here in Edinburgh, shows how quickly the appearance of these young birds changes.
And on the 17th,lot more difficult to photograph them as they generally had branches in front of them and they are obviously a lot more mobile!
Cheers

Great set of pictures. Just a warning though there are restrictions on photographing nesting birds. Just check out the RSPB site before tackling any.http://www.rspb.org.uk/Images/BIRDPHOT_tcm9-132648.pdf
I would say don't fall fowl of the law seeing the topic

Indeed Alfie, wouldn`t be there if the bird was Schedule 1 or if it was causing any kind of discomfort for the birds. These shots were all taken with a 500mm with a 2x TC on and cropped.Alfie wrote:Great set of pictures. The birds and chicks appear quite comfortable with me there as tend to come and sit to close for the camera (personally think they are taking the P!)

Lovely work in capturing these.
Parents certainly look like they have their work cut out.
Great lighting on them, sometimes the dapple get can shadow the faces, but you've timed these well.
