ZZ190 and ZZ191 both flew today for pilot currency, what Mig? unless you mean the SU22 Fitter which was outside.
Re: Hunter airborne 28/11/11?
I'm surprised the Scampton based Hunters haven't been through Doncaster Airport for circuits or overshoots as it's not too far away.
Re: Hunter airborne 28/11/11?
Why would we use Doncaster, we operate only military registered aircraft, we have quite a choice for circuits. Softbill - I take it that was you peering through our gate during the refuelling then.

Speaking of the Fitter, can it/does it fly?
Re: Hunter airborne 28/11/11?
..Just a thought HHA Eng..have military aircraft here doing low approaches/circuits quite regular..including fast jets once in a while..but not enough as some days it's very quiet and large gaps between passenger flights.Regards Lowfly11HHA Eng wrote:Why would we use Doncaster, we operate only military registered aircraft, we have quite a choice for circuits. Next time we are doing some local flying I will ask our pilots to maybe make an appearance after all I was stationed there for 5 years. Finningly was a great station, enjoyed my time there.Lowfly11 wrote:..Just a thought HHA Eng..have military aircraft here doing low approaches/circuits quite regular..including fast jets once in a while..but not enough as some days it's very quiet and large gaps between passenger flights.Regards Lowfly11HHA Eng wrote:Why would we use Doncaster, we operate only military registered aircraft, we have quite a choice for circuits. ..Many thanks again for the reply HHA Eng..would be a superb sight to see a Hunter back at Finningley...hope i'm at home if it happens..one of the perks of self-employment.Regards Lowfly11HHA Eng wrote:Next time we are doing some local flying I will ask our pilots to maybe make an appearance after all I was stationed there for 5 years.
