35mm slides

Post by Dan214sqn » Wed Sep 05, 2018 5:51 pm

I'm just starting the process of copying some 35mm slides into digital format. I have both my own and some purchased slides via eBay to process.

The aim is to have a archive of images in the subject of military search and rescue . It's a long shot but if any forum members have 35mm slides of Sea King or Wessex they think are still good enough quality to scan and wish to move them on then please get in touch.

I would be happy to take any mark of Sea King (not just sar)

Thanks Dan

Hello Dan, I have a large quantity of Wessex and sea kings all mixed navy and RAF I collect Slides of each aircraft rather then log them and store everything in Reg order however I do have about 100,000 spares which include your requirement, would it be a good idea if you let me know the reg's you are after or some other way, I do sell my slides at the going rate which is £1 each lower than the norm of £2.50 and all my slides are on Kodachrome or Agfa and perfect focus, proper exposure and usually edge to edge, most are taken at Culdrose, Shawbury, Fairford, yeovilton and of course Waddington, Finningley, scampton, Greenham Common.
look forward to your reply

Steve

I have written 3 PM's to you and it does not recognise your ID so I could not send them, so hopefully you will get this one, the slides are taken at operational airfields and MOD events some may be taken the day before an airshow on the airfield prior to the barriers go up other tan uniformed persons I do not normally take photos with the public in them, I have items like the 8 Wessex that came over after closing down 78 sqd in Northern Ireland they were taken on arrival at Shawbury on the apron. it may be better that you tell me the serials of the ones you have and I will assemble your given number of slides you would like of each type, I also have a many Chinooks and merlins.

I live at Nuthall Nottinghamshre and I would not dream of sending you any rubbish, I have been taking colour slides since 1970

regards

If anyone is interested in seeing an example of what I'm hoping to achieve , and if anyone likes Westland helicopters - have a look at the link

Again if you have any slides of Westland Sea King or wessex get in touch

Thanks
Dan
