Nikon TC-17EII x1.7 teleconverter *SOLD*

Post by Jonesy » Sat Sep 02, 2017 3:27 pm

I've got for sale a mint Nikon x1.7 teleconverter. I bought it to go with the 300mm f2.8 but since that's now been sold, I don'y have any use for it. Optically perfect and in it's packaging.

They are currently £300 retail.

I'm asking £210 shipped within the UK. obo.

I would pay that in cash if you can meet at Lakenheath or Mildenhall.

That's a 270 mile round trip for me I'm afraid and I don't travel to that part of the country.

Hi Dave,

Yes, your Nikon d5200 would accept the teleconverter. What lenses would you plan to use with it?

Neil.

Nikon teleconverters are meant for their af-s f2.8 lenses. If you are after more reach then you should also consider getting another lens. Their 80-400 can be had reasonably priced on ebay, or if you want a quality prime then the AF 300 f4 d lens is good value.

What's wrong with sending cash via Royal Mail Special Delivery? Lot less hassle. If the seller finds that acceptable (and who wouldn't?), that's what I would do if there appeared to be no alternative. Seems like a good buy to me, and a good bit less than I paid for my pre-owned TC-17EII. Sometimes in life you just have to take a chance!

An excellent teleconverter by the way. I use mine with a 70-200/2.8 and am pleased with results.

I also want to use one on on a 70-200 f2.8 - hope to have a go at photographing trails just for a bit of fun.

(I would rather meet and just pay - it's not a major issue , the seller is of course quite entitled to do as they wish. Next time I am at wex I might make a cheeky offer on a new one)

Edit:: decided the TC-14 would be better for me
