FS: Nikon 300mm f2.8 VR + x1.4 teleconverter

I'm selling my Nikon 300mm f2.8 VR lens and Nikon TC-14EII x1.4 teleconverter. I've owned both since 2010 when I decided to switch to the dark side as the Nikon 300mm f2.8 was to me the ultimate lens for low level photography and it didn't disappoint. Extremely fast focussing and pin sharp images meant that my hit rate for keepers increased dramatically.

The lens is in excellent condition where the optics are unblemished. The tripod foot has a few very small paint chips but that is the only negative I can find on the lens. It comes in it's carry bag which I never used as the lens stayed in my camera bag.

The x1.4 teleconverter is hardly used only at a few airshows where I used it with the 300mm, the image quality didn't decrease. Having a fast lens with 420mm focal length was fantastic. These teleconverters are hugely expensive brand new where the cheapest I can find for the TC-14EIII model is £399! The box is for the x1.7 teleconverter as I must have mistakenly sold the x1.7 last year and shipped it in the x1.4 box.

I'm asking £2700 ono plus postage for the two.

I've now found my TC-17EII x1.7 teleconverter hidden in my Nikon D300 box.

I'd now like to sell the 300mm f2.8, x1.4 and x1.7 together for my original asking price of £2700.
