Bournemouth-Hurn

Post by erik_k » Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:17 pm

I will be passing Bournemouth saturday May 5th. Can any of the Cobham heli's been seen from the fence on a saturday?

Can the preserved Jet Provost at the north side been photographed from the fence?
Any spots/tips were to check this base in a quick time.
I am only interested in mil/ex mil.

Any info is welcome please.

Regards,
Erik (from Holland)

You can't see the Cobham helis on a weekday let alone a Saturday! They are hangared at all times and the doors are rarely open all the way. As for the JP I think it is shootable through the fence around by MCA but I haven't been around that side for a long time. The Turkish military Be200 5002 is in the same location, in the MCA hangar which is sometimes open enough to see it.

The red Hunter is near where the museum used to be, but the museum is now on a site opposite the airport. The Hunter is outside on the edge of the JETS apron and can be seen from the flying club side of the airport. If you wish to photograph it, send me a pm
