On board CVN-75

On Sunday I was lucky enough to visit the Harry S Truman while moored up in the Solent. When I say lucky, I mean like really privileged ...... So here are some shots from the deck. There are others but I won't bore the crap out of you with all of them :) https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1934/443430166...

Mig-21 heaven, Campia Turzii - Romania

Hi all, With the airshow season well and truly over for the year, I thought I'd try and brighten up the dull days with a look back to the open day at Campia Turzii in July. After a few days travelling around Romania in search of W&R the Saturday saw Simmo and myself attending the airshow at Campia. ...

Re: Campia Turzii Open Day 29 July

Great set Jos, It was a fantastic day . Still trawling through my shots. One of the most enjoyable open days I've done . Excellent set, strangely likely the artillery shots. Jos, what was your mount for the air-to-ground shots. Niall Niall, That would have been a Romanian air force Puma . You could ...

The position looks a bit into the sun but you can still id the helicopters?
All helicopters identified, no problem. Flypast is in the morning from NW to SE so yes the light isn't perfect but south side of the river is still the best option.

Mildenhall Air Fete 1989

It's that time of year again. Mildenhall weekend.......or Spring bank holiday to the non aviation community :) Scanned in some negatives from the 1989 edition, all static park, I've yet to find the fliers. Hope they're of interest and bring back a few memories for the 40+ members on here ! For the y...
