Re: A-10 Gulf War noseart 1991

As it's the 20th aniversary of the end of the cold war it would be nice to see the USAF paint one in this scheme and display it at RIAT(also rebadge an F15 to the 36TFW BT Bitburg) Or am i dreaming lol.

I hope im proved wrong though :P Maybe just maybe both F15 & F18 storys are correct and the F15's are playing the Bad...

Re: ITV4 - 4:30 - Dambusters

So glad i didnt see the PC comment at the start! Great film, always gets me shedding a tear at the end, my late Grandad's best friend was on Lancasters, and was shot down over France on the way back from their mission. My Grandad never had a best friend again after that :'( Whats wrong with Nigger?...

Re: Tornado fleet to be slashed to 60?

Only 59 to go after yesterdays little misshap.

A friend of mine remarked to me that if they carry on reducing the number of RAF combat aircraft fairly soon the USAFE's 48th FW will have more jets in the UK than we have

Re: Early Bentwaters A-10s

I was an apprentice at BT in the early 80's and remember them and the F111's flying over Bletchley Park when i was on my courses. Not noticed before but on the front of the starboard undercarriage the current A10's now sport a Black cover, is this some sort of sensor upgrade? As not seen on the above.
