Will double the cost by requesting probe refuelling system and getting the MAA to certify it.
Double the cost? From what info do you base this statement on?
T'was tongue in cheek.

Re: CANON powershot SX-430

You could check out Panasonic M4/3 cameras. Should be able to get a nice set up for similar price if you don't mind 2nd hand.

Re: RAF wants to replace E3D

And some airlines divest themselves of modern fleets in a lot less than that 30 years.... As for the USAF flying them for longer, well they do have more of them and more money to keep them going, oh and have updated them to address age issues etc... Shed loads of spares too. I'd like to see Wedgeta...

Open source photo-editing program.

You may wear a mask while using, but I can't say whether it will improve your editing. :Wow:

Re: RAW vs JPEG

Shoot RAW+JPEG then you have both. I've recently started tinkering with RAW. I process with Rawtherapee, save as a Tiff, then resize maybe a bit of USM in GIMP before exporting a jpeg for posting on tinterweb. Don't have a clue what I'm doing but there's more stuff to fiddle with than jpeg.

Would be that one. Never got a pic of the special, even though I saw it buzzing around Warton while taking the family on a jolly to Blackpool. :'(

While sad she is leaving, given the classic jet scene here at the moment it is hardly surprising.
At least the weather should be kinder over there.

Do we still have the NF11 or are we down to the MB Meat boxes?

Re: A400M may see some features axed

Definitely some politics at play, although I think the A400 will come good especially as there are no new C-17s available.

The Embraer KC-390 looks like a nice machine. Additional tanker capability too if we could get around the silly agreement we signed up for with the '330s.
