Re: G-RAFL/ZK452

This has been civilian registered as G-RAFL since 14/Sep/2018 to RVL Aviation Ltd at East Midlands. Presumably the transponder just hasn't yet been changed.

Prior to that it was registered on 21/Mar/2018 to Serco, which I think is when the contract ended.

Re: Flickr - Changes to Terms of Use

Interestingly I've been looking in to cloud storage for photos and for the number of RAW files I want to store, $50 a month was on the cheap end. I'd have no issues paying $50 a year to host my edited photos; I have nearly 7000 and counting on there now!

Then there is the number of U-2s noted that does not match the number of airframes that exist!
Same issue with C-32Bs. More serials than airframes! :ninja: :ninja:

This has existed in the US for ages, especially in enclosures. I can fully understand why they do it too.

Re: Question about serial numbers

For me; A :thumb:

But if I lived at Renton I think I'd get bored of logging N1786B and end up logging it and "making" whatever the first registration is that it's delivered as!

The hobby is what you make it, and for me that means flexible rules

Re: Question about serial numbers

It's very much a case of your interpretation of the hobby I'd say! What you're describing is often called "framing" and "scraping" an aircraft. Collecting just "frames" means that no matter what the registration, serial, whatever on a single airframe is, you've still seen it. Whether that's 64-14838...

Re: RN to send 2 Merlin's to AUTEC

Wildcat (x2), Merlin (x3), Osprey, Chinook, Lightning, and Stallion gets you up to the nine. Not seen photos of anything else so I'd say Steven and Bluetail are right in that different marks are counted as different types.

So, under forum rules, not allowed.
Operating from a UK military establishment, more often than not on a military contract (UK or otherwise), would be enough for me I'd say.

Although are we really considering saying we're not going to talk about QinetiQ aircraft on here any more? :S
