Re: USA Trip - December 2017

Thanks everyone for you kind words. Very nice indeed, thank you. Particularly interested in your Luke AFB shots and where you shot them from? Would appreciate a steer if you're able and willing. Hi Tom, this was only my second visit to Luke AFB. When we first visited first back in 2010, we stopped o...

Re: USA Trip - December 2017

I am off to the US soon and wondered if you could confirm the shots at El Centro were taken from along the irrigation channel end, on approach?..and through the fence in the case of the taxi shots of the C130 and F18's? Also, although you were disappointed by Nellis were your shots from Cheyenne Av...

Re: USA Trip - December 2017

Cheers everyone for your comments :thumb: Is that Gladiators two seater Hornet an F as in your photo description? It doesn't have the square intakes? Not meaning to nitpick, as I do not know the answer, but I thought from F/A-18E onwards they had the big square intakes and big wings Good spot and th...

USA Trip - December 2017 *with airfield map positions*

Hello everyone. back in December, Mark Forest and myself travelled to the USA for week of aviation photography. It was a very relaxed, enjoyable week in the winter sun and below are a small selection of my photographs, more can be seen on my Flickr page. I would just like to thank Mark for doing all...

Re: Colorado tour

I will have a look in my copy of USA Military Out of Service by Andy Marden when I get home from work. I love this book and use it when planning all my trips in the USA.

Tactical Weapons Meet 2017 - Florennes

Hi Folks, last Thursday I spent a very enjoyable day at the fence at Florennes for the Tactical Weapons Meet. My first trip overseas in a while, I hope you like the results. This is just a selection, the rest can be seen in my flickr album https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4288/35108881831_22def2be92_b....

Finally, the stars aligned and Northolt XXI shone. For me, the Operation Granby Tornado was the star of the show this year and shooting it at night was the icing on the cake. https://c5.staticflickr.com/1/411/31815080372_ea0ab0d501_b.jpg ZG750 128 Tornado GR4 Op Granby Scheme 9 Squadron by Jason Gra...

A XV(R) pilot informed me that the last course finishes in February '17 and the squadron disbands in April '17. Just another reason to head north for JW 16-2.

The cold, crisp, easterly airflow with no cloud does produce great conditions for shooting aircraft.

Very nice set Charles. :thumb:

NAF El Centro is one of my favourite locations to photograph in the USA, your post is making me miss the place even more.
