Surely showing that the missions being affected by unserviceability is depicting the truth of every day RAF life, which is the whole point of the programme is it not? You can't have a so called 'in depth' docu-series and only show the good bits, where would be the point in that?

Better to look a bit rough and be airworthy than polished and a death-trap. If I had the choice to go flying in a B-52 that looks uncared, covered in remnants of duct tape and a bit beaten up, or a B-52 that looks cared for, I'd go with cared for as that implies it's been mechanically looked after!...
