Just wondered if the C130K's stored in the super hangar at St athan are still there or have they been scrapped or as was suggested been sold on to a foreign country.
Miss them lots here at MOD Lyneham.

Re: Jaguar XX119
Just as a matter of interest are these the jaguars that will be coming to RAF or MOD Lyneham in 2015.
If so, how Many and will they be flown here or transported by road or even flown in in the back of a C17.

Comets Gone
I read from Lyneham Village onlines Parish Council monthly meetings that the Comet Gate Gardian has finally been dismantled and the front nose section taken to a museum at Boscombe Down. Aparently the MOD wanted it moved by 17th November to make way for rebuilding of the site. chazzer   :h...

I guess local flying for thursday means flying towards and over lyneham. We have had 1 or2 aircraft constantly over lyneham all day since around 10.30am. Tail door down and at various heights 7 or 8 times during the day great to see them and listen to that lovely engine sound. Will be sad to see the...

Hercules Farewell
Just wondered if anyone knows if there is to be any kind of Farewrll tour of the remaining Hercules Fleet as the C1 and C3 aircraft retire at the end of October. Lyneham played a big part in the Hercules career and perhaps a visit to the base at Lyneham by both types could be possible for the people...

Working at a hospital in Swindon and I was outside I glanced up to the Skies and saw a Galaxy heading westbound about 4 to 6 Thousand High any serial numbers were to far away for me to see. Just wondered if it was a Mildenhall flight or perhaps Brize Norton. This all took place around 12.30pm local ...
