Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
Brilliant set! As Thunder said above, those low level shots are awesome and you feel as though you could almost touch the aircraft. You have panning off to a fine art. Now if only sound could accompany them............

Great set of pictures of a really mean looking aircraft. I wouldn't fancy being hunted by one of them!

Wow! More great images from Greece. Wonderful that you caught Phantoms and Mirage 200's now in the twilight of their Greek careers. Thank you.

Not at all envious - MUCH! Fabulous images of a great variety of aircraft and, more importantly, in liveries we seldom (or never) see here in the UK. To cap it all, the glorious weather you are enjoying has made my day. Thank you for posting!

Re: HMS Sultan Fleetlands 1994
On the rare occasions that I managed to visit these open days I seem to recall that the staff would usually "doctor" one or two serials on the aircraft. A devil for the "number collectors"! But, nevertheless, it provided another unhurried and stress free day out. Sadly missed.

Re: Cottesmore Families 89
Cottesmore Families Days were always a treat - the flying displays were low key but the variety of German and Italian aircraft that visited was amazing. Think it was at one of these days that I saw my first ex East German An-26's. We oldies saw the best of times!

Re: Shackleton XF708 @ Duxford - 23Mar24
It's been a long time since I've seen a Shackleton in bare metal. When I was 14, in 1968, my brother took me to an open day at Langar where Hawker Siddeley had a facility that was refurbishing Shackletons of various various marks. Sadly, I wasn't into logging aircraft serials then and cannot recall ...

Love it! What chance of one coming over for RIAT and Farnborough given that they are having some success selling them to some European air forces?

Re: South West (USA) wanderings, March 2024
Absolutely brilliant set of images! Thank you. That's the joy of America, always plenty of variety and I know my camera would complain because of the number of shots I'd be taking! Can't say the same here in the UK - it's more in danger of seizing up through lack of use. Your images show the best of...

Great selection of aircraft especially the Italian contingent. Also liked the Polish C130 sporting the special scheme. Well done and thank you for posting.

Re: Linton Families Day '06
Couldn't agree more Mick with the sentiment about Families Days and, even, squadron exchanges having all but ceased. My worry is that our air force must be the most overworked in Europe and the high flying hours being accumulated will be taking its toll on airframes. We appear to be the only nation ...

Never too long - to see images from a country that I will never get to visit is Fabulous. I love the colour schemes on the F15's, but the variety of types is incredible. Please post more if you have them!

Re: Red Arrows Combine 8.3.24
I remember getting "up close and personal" with the Gnats at Rolls Royce's Hucknall airfield in the mid 60's. Strange how time changes perspective - looking at the images of G-MOUR on the runway shows just how small the aircraft was. The crew could almost be sitting on the engine! Loved these images...

Re: Lakenheath "Excalibur VII"
Very nice shots and they brought back great and very fond memories of my now long gone friend Nigel. We first met at a Excalibur meet and, later, met regularly on EEAG base trips. We took the plunge to go on one of the USA trips (October 1993) organised by Alan Warnes and shared a room and a great m...
