Re: Phoenix and Tucson area trip Feb 24 and request PHX 18.02.24

Overflights are now at 5,000' and dependent upon clearance from DM ATC. Security situation seems to have tightened up and they will move you on from the perimeter so don't hang around too long.

Re: Leconfield Open Day - 20th July 1974

Leconfield so close yet so far ! As a Binbrook local often noted Lightnings just 'hopping' over the river 10 mins to go in for service/maintenance. Until the Humber Bridge opened in July 1981 it was either a crossing on the Humber ferry or a lengthy drive around the estuary through Goole, so never ...

Re: CA with a bit of NV and AZ

Jason, good to meet you and Paul. I did offer to buy the missus a sponge but opted for the $18 car wash after our escapade at El Centro! It helped with negotiating a pass for March. Best Phil.

The tolls take cards and cash at the manned booths and coins into coin bins.

Neil.
As you drive into the toll station the booths will be signposted as to which one take credit, cash or pre-paid. The cash ones also take notes.

Re: NATO Tiger Meet 2022 - Araxos AB

Cost is racking up - just downloaded a map for the TomTom - £18 I didn't realize it's 180 miles to Araxos from Athens - could be an early start for me! Don't forget road tolls will be c.€20. Fuel is on a par with the current UK price if not more! It cost me about £75 (tolls/fuel) to get to Andravid...

The one lost isn't ZM154 - it returned to Marham today.
ZM152 is rumoured to be the jet involved.

Re: Fairford B-2 request 25/8

If I recall correctly (I can’t remember the date though) two B-2s flew into Holbeach range via the North Sea, did some work there before departing straight back to WM. Those two were never identified as far as I’m aware.the most annoying thing is that had I known that that was all they were going t...
