Looks like we aren't getting a display, just part of a flypast! .

There were 11 Tucanos, took off in groups of 5, 4, 2: saw the 9 ship from a distance but understand the two others usually fly above in an observation role?

Reds Hawk at Linton 4th January
Just for information, a Hawk in Reds' markings made several wheels-down approaches to Linton around 10.40 am today.
Which was nice .
Hope it is a precursor of something interesting.

Nine ship Tucano this morning
They're doing a nine-ship Tucano as I type (9.55am) and there have been a few more than usual fast jet passes (can't see those). Don't know if the Tucs are practising for a Remembrance Day Flypast or if there's something else on.
Just sayin....

Hi Pete,
9 ship over Linton 10.45am. Around 10.25 saw a group of 4 Hawks going like stink towards York from Linton. A strange sight as no semblance of a group, but too close for a simulated attack. Great!

Graduation Friday 4th March
My neighbour tells me that tomorrow is a graduation day at Linton. I shall try to get there.
Don't blame me if you have a wasted journey though .

A pair of Ospreys over Linton
At the risk of sounding like 'Winterwatch', I spotted a pair of Ospreys heading north towards Linton and ? Leeming at around 10.40am adding drama to the volume of a noisy windy day.

Followed late afternoon by nice low passes over chateau grey, by the Reds (with smoke) and then the BoB Flight, presumably also on their way to Sunderland

V-22 Osprey over Linton
Second time in recent weeks (last night around 6.30pm) an Osprey flew over Newton in general direction Linton or Leeming?
Anyone else seen (or heard - quite noisy) same?

Re: Graduation , Friday 6 December
Thanks for that, might make the trip over if the weathers OK If you didn't get over, I don't think you missed a deal. I live in the next village (Newton), didn't go over to Linton but saw a multi Tuc formation (assume it was 9-ship), saw one helicopter and heard two fast jet overflies (is that the ...

That's what I thought, too; also there was quite a lot of varied flying a few Friday mornings ago (heard not seen), which made me think that might have been a graduation.storm1 wrote:Seems like a bit of a late one, normally in the morning.
