I stopped going to YV show just for these sort of reasons . I started going on the Friday but the rules for entry were changed so that we were treated like the great unwanted by the RN/FAA . I tried staying outside of the base but that has been made difficult by the small minded jobs worth of RN/FAA...

There was a day by day diary held in the 22 A flt ops . This would give you the required info . BUT just where it went when we packed up I do not know . The 22 HQ was at Valley but that too has gone . A long shot is that it may be at the records office which I think is at or near Kew (?) west London...

The cubs/Austers were for D Day celibrations on or about Saunton beach . On sunday 7th at just after 1900 several of these escouted microlights into Chiv from Eggesford . They microlights had started from Kemble and night stopped at Chiv . No idents noted as they came in from the south onto disused ...

Hi , 22 finish at 2359 hours 31 Dec 2015 but there is always a chance that Bristows could start any time from October 2015 . No sign of the gliders flying yet . No known visitors due . Chrisj

Sorry but no ident yet . I did pass this onto Mike also in Braunton but no reply yet . On 19th 2 C130s came down coast and went in land around south of Bidiford also no idents yet , same for C130 making approach on 13th and Tornado low pass 19th . We need more reporters in this area ! ChrisJ

Hi All , on 03 Feb there were a number of visiting helis using a refueling point on the main runway . Types seen included Lynx , Apaches , Chinooks and Merlin . Some parked on old cross runway for a while . Did anyone ident any ?? Thanks Chris J Oh , Good news on the SAR front
