Re: UK to extend Typhoon OSD to 2040 and form additional two
The RAF has said nothing regarding as to what the new Squadrons will be or when they will form. (if they ever will)? Not quite true. The RAF has said nothing PUBLICALLY regarding as to what the new Squadrons will be.... There has obviously been plenty of talk within the RAF. If 29 do move to Lossie...

Re: UK to extend Typhoon OSD to 2040 and form additional two
As far as I was aware only one of the new Squadrons was to based at Lossie, with the other one forming at Coningsby. The Typhoon OCU 29(R)Sqn was meant to be moving North to Lossie as well, maybe where you got that both Sqns were forming at Lossie. Mind you that idea has probably changed several ti...

Re: rasberry ripple seakings in Horsham Sussex
Bit unfair labeling them as hostile, I had correspondence with the management here when the Sea Kings arrived and they were most helpful. It is the nature of the contract with the MoD and the regulations regarding the import of the Aussie ones that the prevents them ID'ing the airframes. Totally ag...

Re: UK to extend Typhoon OSD to 2040 and form additional two
There are still 14 Tranche 3s at Warton and by my reckoning there are another 21 left somewhere in the production run. Assuming we are still getting 40 Tranche 3s.....? T But the other side of the coin... Those airframes in storage at Shawbury Aircraft back at Warton on long-term upgrade Aircraft o...

Would the F-4Js have had Fletcher tanks fitted for this at this time though?
The subject is a completely different kind of sortie, hence my question "fitted for this".

Re: RAF Stored Typhoon's
John, The last Typhoon to be delivered to the RAF was ZK354. The new Tranche 3 jets are in storage and when they arrive we will be waiting for ZK355 up to ZK378. Steven. The latest examples taken on to RAF charge were actually ZK365 and ZK367. Just because they are not at Coningsby yet does not mea...
