Re: Duxford September Bimbles~ *UPDATE 4~21Sep18*

Nice pics, Brian. I WAS intending to come, but thought the blustery conditions would be a bit too much for most aircraft so gave today a miss. Have a good week-end, and see you next year.

The cockpit mock-up of the B.47 was in March Air Force Museum in 1997. I sat in James Stewart's seat!. :)

The right debris field if it hit in a fairly flat, relatively high speed impact.

I'd better not mention the 'gin distillery' to my wife, and will book with a different P and O ship next year :) !!. Took our first cruise with 'Carnival Fantasia' many years ago, no ears on that one thank goodness.

Re: F-35A Mishap

F.22 was a crash, not a landing. The gear wasn't even down!!. Bad to look at, but horrible inside I suspect. Looked a lot like bad PIO, but wasn't.

Re: Chino 11-2017

Yep, You're right. When I was there many years ago, I think it still had the hook forward of the windscreen. Can't see it in the pic. Maybe this is not the same aircraft. Only used with the B.36. Wing tip join up was not part of this programme. That was only with straight-winged F.84s. Regards. :)

Photo no.3, the RF84F Thunderflash is VERY unusual. Anybody apart from me know why???? If nobody comes up with it, I will tell you in 48 hours. It has nothing to do with the numbers or paintwork :) Look closely and you will see why.

Re: F-35A Mishap

General Dynamics may well have listened to the 'informed opinion' on it and canceled it. In my opinion, I THINK it went o...
