Re: Turkish F-35 Delivery Blocked

After Vietnam was taken over I remember seeing, in a US facility, a lot of F5s that were not going to be delivered to Vietnam. Not sure what finally happened to them, but probably sold on to others. Filmman I believe a lot of them ended up in USAF as aggressors, there were a lot at Williams AFB in ...

Re: AS 350 @ Boscombe Down 7th March

One of the new AS 350 helicopters was flying at Boscombe Down circa 15.30 today. It was circling over the Allington end of the field , too far away to read off, before landing on the main apron. Did any one pick this craft up on their magic boxes by any chance please. razzer56. I was at Boscombe Do...

Tornado GR.4s at Lakenheath

Does anyone have the identities of the three Tornado GR.4s on the visitors ramp, just west of the two remaining Saudi F-15SAs? I'm told they arrived on Friday (29th).

Re: Lack of Typhoon squadron markings

Those of us of a certain age will remember almost the entire US P-3 fleet devoid of any markings including no bureau numbers for an extensive period during the 80's because, I believe, of a perceived threat from Iran. So, be thankful that at least the Typhoons can be identified by serial.

ZM300 noted this morning at Barkston Heath inside the hangar (visible from the fence near the 'gate'). G-MEFT outside playing with the handlers, G-CJYB inside the hangar.
Meanwhile G-CJYG and G-CJYH were outside at Cranwell.

Does anybody know why this is happening and more importantly which day? My guess is that a 3 day window was planned in consideration of weather.

Next Korean Wildcat delivery

The last 4 Wildcats to be delivered went through Stansted in June. I seem to recall at the time they flew from Yeovil as a formation. Does anyone recall (a) which route they flew from Yeovil, and (b) what time of day this took place? There is a reasonable chance that the next 4 will follow the same ...
