However , although the numbers were painted on the locomotive cab sides they still carried the number on the smoke box door in cast metal painted black with the number usually picked out in white . Cloudhawk

Hi there , Saw the loose 6 ship "formation" just after 11am , only managed to read 1 serial off :- XR241/G-AXRR , another was coded "N" & the leader was just calling G-??NT . Anyone any ideas of the IDs of the rest ?

Re: RAF Chivenor, bank holiday monday
Of course if they were scrambled the c/s would change from "SRG" to "Rescue" & that would be either while airborne or on departure from the SAR dispersal . Cloudhawk

Re: RAF Chivenor, bank holiday monday
Hi Jon , it was probably "SRG 169" , that is the primary a/c c/s , if the 2nd Sea King got airborne(usually just for training) that would use "SRG 170" .

Re: My 1st Year (and a bit) of Mainline Steam
Great set of shots , nice to see my favourite engine , 34046 Braunton (that's also where I live) performing out of her Southern territory . We're very lucky that we have so many main line ticketed steam locos available .
Once again , thanks for posting , Cloudhawk
