The RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre is housed in the former Guardroom, open every Thursday and Sunday from 10 - 4 until the end of October.

The blast walls were built in the late fifties. The artwork on the doors of No1 Hangar are still in reasonable condition, currently 1 Hangar used by a storage company, 2 Hangar Swift Aircraft, 3 Hangar Norfolk County Council Covid 19 emergency mortuary and 4 Hangar Vitromite Ltd (ecco building company).

A company called Swift Aircraft are planning to build a two seat touring/training light aircraft in Number 2 Hangar and use the runway for testing etc from early next year.

Don't know why you would hear palloustes as they weren't used by the Jag, it had it's own air generator called a Microturbo for starting!

There is no hangar No 6, it's No3 which used to be the home of 6 Sqn, now used for police training hence no photos, I was one of the tour guides.
