A very sad loss to the historic aviation community, worldwide. I first met the late Nick and Carolyn at Strathallan Airfield, before Nick bought the Spitfire from the late Sir William Roberts and find it unbelievable that she should died in the same matter as her husband did 34 years previously.

Visiting Texan T2s, ZM340 and ZM328, departed at approximately 14.00.
Also flying, locally, at that time, were Leuchars based, Tutor T1s, G-BYXX and G-BYUR.

USAFE Learjet C-21A, 84-0085, (Valor42) ;
Carried out three circuits and landed, at 10.17 UTC, from Ramstein.
Departed at 12.48 UTC

I was greeted by a sad sight on my first outing to the National Museum of Flight, in six years. Forlorn looking, with flaking paintwork and rainwater ingress, this HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT historic airframe is slowly decaying.- what a waste !
