Very nice, has this event replaced Helidays? Thank you Goose. Yes, last year North Somerset Council trialled an Air day which proved a Hugh Success, this year the event has been expanded into a Two day Airshow. airtyphoon Hi, This used to be the annual RAF Locking Flowerdown fair of years gone by.

Yes grounded until disposed off...won't say grounded forever as some of Halton's old birds have flown again. :)

I've ordered this book which arrived very well packed and still sealed in cellophane yesterday. On first impressions it's very well put together, lots of stunning pictures and history. Its a very nice book and comes highly recommmended. :thumbs:

Phabulous Phread.... :halo: Didn't get to go to this one as my boss for my Saturday job wouldn't let me have any more time off...was due to go to RAF Wittering on Cadet camp several weeks later. :whistle: But friends who went said it was a great show and all those lovely Phantoms....boo hoo... :(

She was scrapped with the nose still intact at RAE Bedford. What a waste... :grr:

I remember seeing her flying low level following the route of the M5 past Taunton, Somerset in the late seventies.
