Victorious Cosby

Having intended to attend the 2017 event, I made it a mission to attend this year's Victory Show in Cosby. After reading much speculation of the display procedures being implemented this year I bit the bullet Saturday night after hearing of the good displays that day. Sunday was no different by many...

Marham 'Families' 2018

A small selection from a thoroughly enjoyable Families Day at Marham last week. Most notable in the flying display would be the four-ship of Tornado GR4s which performed several passes before returning to land, and not least the Strikemaster Display's new Mk80 G-RSAF which performed with Mk82A G-SOA...

RAF100 Weekend in Coventry

This week has seen two locations in Coventry set up to celebrate RAF100 by a static Red Arrows Hawk T1 XX327 in the Broadgate area, which arrived Wednesday, in preperation for public interaction on Friday through Sunday (today). The majority of aircraft displays however were those at Coventry Airpor...

Great shot of you in the passenger seat George!! Cheers Mark! The one image I can't take any credit for, but I shall pass that on... :thumb: Thanks for posting these pictures. I adore all things DH. May be something to do with my initials. I've flown in many aircraft types, but remember my Tiger Mo...

'de Havillands, Assemble!' - Old Warden 23rd June

Some images from Saturday last weekend at the de Havilland Moth Club's Charity flying day, held at Old Warden. Plenty of Moth sub-variants present, as well as other DH types - particularly pleasing to see was the Collection's Hawk Trainer offering a very exclusive set of pleasure flights. AT-6 G-KAM...

Re: Cosford 2018

Thanks George! I was suspecting something in that range.... Nr's 2 and 8 for me. Because Nr 2 is quite atmospheric and Nr 8 is one of the more unusual angles. Thanks for posting them George. Cheers John 'flightpath'. Thank you both. Just what I was aiming to capture with number 2 mostly, so thanks!...

Cosford 2018

Popped to Cosford on the Saturday for PDAs as well as the Sunday show. Some light and haze issues in the mornings, and bucketloads of heat distortion throughout the day for lenses to cope with, but an enjoyable weekend nonetheless. Images from both days in no particular order. https://farm2.staticfl...

Re: Torbay Airshow 2018

Hi, Nice photographs. Saturday wasn't that bad, Sunday started off less promising but by the display time was 100% blue sky. Lovely set! Nice set of photos, where did you take them from? I couldn't be ar5ed with the traffic, so spent an easy Sunday afternoon at the end of the runway at Exeter, watc...

Torbay Airshow 2018

I was fortunate enough to be able to get a last-minute respite from A-level exam season last weekend, by traveling to Torbay for the airshow on the Saturday. My first encounter with a seafront event, and one that I found refreshing from the usual somewhat frantic rush to a crowdline view, that base-...

A weekend of classics at Coventry - 19-20th May 2018

This weekend at Coventry saw many aircraft arrive for the weekend, positioning out of here to display locally at the Midlands Air Festival at Ragley Hall, including Strikemaster Display UK's 'Strikey' Mk82A G-SOAF in her new Omani colours, P-51D 'The Shark' G-SHWN and PBY-5A G-PBYA from Duxford. htt...

Vampire WZ507 at Coventry - Sunday 13th May

Sunday afternoon saw Vampire T11 G-VTII depart on another local flight from Coventry making use of the fair weather. Great to see her with wind beneath her wings again. 1. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/912/40280311600_c6c0d40a45_h.jpg De Havilland Vampire T.11 G-VTII by George Aldrich , on Flickr 2...

Re: Shuttleworth's Season Premiere - Old Warden 6th May

Great set of Images George, think I like number 13 the best! Thank you! A risky shot at 1/30th, but very well worth the trying! Seems odd for me to say this on a set from Old Warden, but that Puma shot is smashing! Very nice set. What a wonderful set of images from what was a superb day of...

Jet Provost T5A G-BWGF - Coventry 5th May 2018

Saturday at Coventry saw based Jet Provost XW325/G-BWGF out on a local sortie in the afternoon. Shuttleworth's Season Premiere - Old Warden 6th May

First time myself attending a Shuttleworth event at OW, having booked tickets thankfully in time after seeing that Spitfire AR501 was due to debut. Although sad that she wasn't ready in time, owing to what I believe was wet airfield conditions leading to the event, she was out for all to see on the ...
