Re: Thick fog today

That link leads to a dead link in the play store. I've found a similar app but it has next to no info in it, and certainly no live info. Any alternatives?

Re: Thick fog today

DATIS reporting visibility 300m since 1450. Waiting for the next update. If it hasn't improved any (and I don't think it will), I'm heading home.

How high a stepladder?

I've read that 3-4 steps is about right but the best I have is a decorators platform about 2-3 feet high. I'm 6'1" and am hoping this will be enough.
Can anyone let me know if this would be a wasted journey and a high ladder is absolutely essential?

Cheers!

Re: ID request

Thanks guys, they briefly rolled it out of a hangar yesterday at Fairford but only for a very short time.

Future privately owned current assets

I apologise if this has already been done to death but I was mulling this one over the other day as I was driving past Wittering. Which - if any - of our currently military assets will be able to be operated by private owners in the future, given the restrictions on operators relating to complex sys...

Re: Foray north of the border - help!

Well I went to East Fortune yesterday and had a great time. Very nice setup there, although the lighting wasn't conducive to photographs unfortunately. Very nice museum to potter around though and I'm very glad I went.

Sorry, I should have said that I've already been to the Dumfries museum, thanks though. Interesting news on Carlisle, I'll have to do some digging, thanks.

Foray north of the border - help!

I live in south Yorkshire and my normal haunts are Coningsby, Lakenheath and Mildenhall. Next weekend I am heading just over the border to SW Scotland and wondered what opportunities lie around that area. I'll be going Friday AM and returning Monday PM so Monday is probably my most useful day if I'm...
