RAF St Mawgan De Havilland Mosquito
Hello All I'm trying to find the date of an airshow I visited with my late grand father sometime in the 90's. I'm trying to remember the year we to date some photos. All I can remember from the event that year was that the De Havilland Mosquito was a no show. If I remember right it was vandalised by...

Re: SW advice
You'll probably get BAe 146s and the A400m visiting Exeter or Newquay. You may also get few helis from yeovilton but it's a bit far down Newton Abbott.

RIAT "Official" Camping Tangerine fields.
RIAT airshow was fantastic. However had a rather disappointing stay this weekend at the "official" RIAT campsite. I'm surprised they're even allowed to be called that as the stay was horrendous. We were led to believe this was a family campsite, even from the RIAT website. However when we arrived we...

Re: Camping at RIAT 2018
Afraid I can't share your same experience now having arrived. This morning there was no water apart from the drinking taps. Bins were overflowing. Toilets were covered in toilet roll and no where to wash your hands. No where to wash pots or pans. Music playing till 1230 at night (and that's the camp...

How long left
So with the Tory government on the verge of collapse and a possible looming Genereal Election with Corbyn about to take the reigns of PM. How long before he cancels the F35 order, sells HMS Queen Elizabeth and Prince of Wales, and scraps our trident submarines etc.

Camping at RIAT 2018
Hello All
Booked all three days with camping for this years RIAT and was just wondering if anyone has stayed in the Tangerine Fields. Could anyone give up a heads up of what its like, is it cramped, are the toilets/showers clean etc.
Thank in advance.

mid 90's E3 and VC10 fly past over Taunton
Hello all, was wondering if someone could help me. This is a bit of wild shot but in the lates 90's I remember playing cricket for my school in Taunton and a formation of 4 aircraft went over head very low quite a few times. I know one of them was a E-3 Sentry and two were VC-10's. I can't quite rem...

Re: F-35 @ Yuma
Is the F-35 really as bad as some people are saying it is?
I've heard it can only pull a max of 6.5g in a turn unloaded.

Re: Big jet over Yeovil
Yep flew overhead Chippenham Sorry to be picky but correct registration is ZM400. Been a busy day down south today! That's what I said (eventually) :ninja: Yep clear skies make everything soooooo much easier. Yep they sure do! Missed those KC-135s by a couple of miles. I was looking out for those K...

Re: Why are Typhoons launched on Bear QRAs?
The Navy do like to be a little different tho, maybe they could compromise and have a ramp take off with cat recovery, you could even fit a cat along the recovering runway likes cats 3&4 on the USS ships

According to the times paper (Thursday 19 Feb) the USSR has spent 32 million on defence over the last year. So half a Typhoon then? Not a lot to get worried about !! Rest Easy Folks! That 32 million the 'USSR' ( Un-United?) has spent on defence over the last year was Russian Roubles ;) , s...

Re: Jungle 21
I saw Two F15s fly over to the north of Taunton ( I heard them first :-) ) , they were on PP as Jungle 21 flight level 3500ft. I have seen them down this way quite a bit, normally high up and sometimes with a tanker in support. Jungle is a Lakenheath Callsign and quite a generic one by the looks of ...

I did wonder if the sentries refuelled from usaf tankers. Wonder if they will adopt a similar thing with the F35s

RAF air to air refueling
Which RAF planes practice regulary AA refueling? Do the Sentry AEW.1 used by the RAF practice this with the Boom or Drogue if they do?
