They tend to put those up to cover their returns. We have them due back 1821L and don’t have an ISP down for then.

Last flight was ZZ665 Landing 1606 on 8th March, I know it’s not an ID but happy to share our data if it helps.

I suppose some of the Home airfields are not actually open for them to recover today, Scampton for example.

Red Arrows due for Sim Training
You have some Red Arrows due for Sim training today, initial reports rumoured 3 Pilots but I do not know how many will go in the end. I believe RED4 has already arrived, anyone catch any more?

Re: Reds Training
What are the times they go up ? I'm coming down to Lincs for the day on Thursday so would be nice to catch them on my way by. There are no specific set times for every day, it varies but my best description of usual practice is a few posts above. Keep any eye on the Winter Training Page of the Reds...

Re: Reds Training
Subject to weather they are out weekdays, 30mins each, Enid or Gypo first, the other after for another 30mins, 90min gap and the same again, usually three sets of those.

Re: Winter Training
It's a bit of a long story but I will try and give you the ride run down. At the beginning of the 2016 Airshow season the Reds decided to ban publication of practice times and requested that the Facebook Groups delete any discussions about practice times which they agreed to. The reasons given to th...

Re: Military flight tracking
I have not got a clue when it comes to a Pi, although when set up it sounds like the best way of running it long term, if you plan on using an external or lol mounted antenna you can save on signal loss through the use of long lengths of coax by putting the Pi near the antenna. Some people have even...

Re: Military flight tracking
It is unfiltered but it won't show everything as it depends on signals being received just like a mobile phone network you have blackspots. There are different transponder types but 95% of Mil traffic that are visible do not send their location, instead it has to be worked out by Multilateration (ML...

Re: Waddington Open Yet
Yep, I think everyone involved has stopped asking because everytime we do the date goes back, after about 50 different dates you stop asking and disbelieve anything you are told. They have encountered lots of problems, from what I have heard they had no plans for a lot of the layers under the runway...

Re: Waddington Open Yet
Waddington is not fully operational yet no, the last date I heard for the runway to be finished was late November time. I believe some smaller aircraft my operate before them but that's only a rumour at this stage. There is a lot more going on than just the runway too, fully operational may take som...

Re: clipped wing spitfire
A BBMF Spitfire ending up doing the Dakota's flypasts later on in the day as the Dakota went tech, so it will be the BBMF one. Therefore it was conducting a flypast in Ripon, North Yorkshire at 540835N 0013313W

Re: Military flight tracking
Yeah, I wanted to balance my message a bit, although 360radar wins hands down I thought I better put another option. PlanePlotter seems to be dying off now VRS is being developed and adopted by people who really want to build a great network. PlanePlotter is a pain for support for starters, they use...
