Re: Military Aircraft Markings 2024

Well Done , and a huge thank you for keeping this iconic publication going , which I have bought since the first one.

Every year I fear it will go to the awful on-line format so many have gone , and for me, make it un-readable.
Give me a book anyday !!

Cheers

Re: Masters of the Air - USAF Mighty 8th in East Anglia

Well, I have watched the first two episodes, and found them thoroughly entertaining !! But , then again, I am just an aviation enthusiast / photographer , and not an `Armchair expert` , like some people ,and don`t feel the need to criticise everything that doesn`t meet some exacting standards. I thin...

Re: Visiting Fairford 27th May

Hello all,
Just wondering if the B-1`s are visible / photographable, from walking the perimeter fence from the Dunfield crash gate to the 09 end crash gate ?
I have never done this walk, but understand it is quite interesting.
I would be looking at visiting on Saturday.

Many Thanks

Don`t rise to the bait , no doubt some `stop oil` saddo, fishing for a reaction.
Any true aviation enthusiast would want to see as many planes in the sky as possible !!!

Re: King’s Coronation Flypast Info 25th - 27th April & 6th May 2023

Hi All, Does anybody know if the Asda car park at Leyton Mills ( E10 5NH ), would give a reasonable view of the flypast ? The reason I ask is, my wife cannot be left at home alone, and her mobility problems mean I would have to drive, not use public transport. I live in Uxbridge , Middx. Many thanks...

Brilliant shots.
Where were they taken from please ?
I assume 02 end somewhere ??
Hoping to get up there next week , when the forecast seems to indicate 20 end.
Well done, definately worth freezing your nether regions !!

Really love it !!

The all white was dreadful.
Now lets get a military reg on it to make it proper !!

Re: Queens birthday Flypast

Thanks Supra for your sarcastic comment.

That`s the problem with these forums - a comment that does not meet some persons criteria is met with abuse.
Hence why in over 10 years , I have only posted 76 times, and probably will not again.

Re: Queens birthday Flypast

I was on Waterloo Bridge for the 100th. , but found the aircraft were a bit `over the top` of me.
Thinking of Blackfriers Bridge this time , as it seems a little more to one side of the flight track , assuming they fly straight up The Mall.

Anything with a bit of colour gets my vote  .
I look at my slides from the 70`s and 80`s , with sorrow that everything is now a grey blob.
As for Tiger schemes -- the best colours ever put on a military jet !! - In my opinion :D

Re: No parking on roadside

Hello All, I was there yesterday (15th.) from 07.00 to 19.45 - parked in the Forest Gate entrance. Quite busy at 07.00. As the day went on more cars arrived and parked on the verges to the left and right of the entrance. Everybody was sensible, and tucked the cars well off the road. Many police patr...
