Re: Will Sunak Survive Until The Election

"Germany runs the EU using unelected bureaucrats, whilst France, funded by UK, influences our immigration policy. " Can you expand on that please? The best short effort would be for you to read the links and relate the plot lines of the tv series. https://www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/article/e...

Re: Will Sunak Survive Until The Election

 This is a bit of a ramble… The vote of an individual under the present system might make a difference but only if it cast on the ballot paper. So why not try it? Now the historical bit. Prior to the 1964 election my colleagues and I were given a project to postulate about the future of Europe...

Re: How do you actually get to Duxford airshow by car?

:S The more important question, for me anyway, is: How far did you have to walk from your parked car to the flight line? Once again the parking was poorly organised and the attendants were very free with their use of foul language and aggressive attitude. Not a pleasant experience for the second tim...

Re: Long time Puzzle

Deck? Most marine vessels are fitted with them.

My favourites are the ‘Tilty head ‘ people. They have an intense look on their face when engaging in a serious conversation and their head canted to one side.

Hello sailor

As told to me, submarines are called boats ‘cos they generally only carry inflatables.

I have been known to correct, occasionally

Those were the days

I bet 617 are given the 'treatment' on board HMS QNLZ

One minute you are a low-level , below radar dam buster next you are sailing around the world on a boat
Ship, not boat! ;) The big ones are called ships, which carry little things called boats.

Sad to say that even with such clarification there will still be members of FC who will park incorrectly.

Re: ARISE SIR LEWIS!.

No doubt that he is/has been a skilled driver, all credit to that. His chosen work has contributed a huge amount to the Global Warming situation. I can think of a whole hospital of people whose efforts over a ten year period deserve a thank you for just turning up to do their respective jobs. A grum...

Re: RAF changed Dog grave wording

My recollection of boozy evening chats with Chinese customers in Singapore on the subject of race included me being referred to as ghost eyes Gweilo which meant foreigner but in a derogatory sense. Arabian slave traders used a very rude word for people taken from the interior to the east coast of Af...

I don’t wish to start rumours but I recently read that ?Boeing? Or someone had been awarded a contract for 120 sets of new wings for A-10
Can’t remember where it was so might be a figment of my scatterbrain

Re: US F15e pilot displays Welsh flag over Snowdonia

It isn't a big deal, just a friendly gesture showing a little imagination. How do we all know? He/she may have Welsh lineage and wanted to pay homage to the family. How about if several hundred FCers gathered along the Loop complete with Welsh and US flags to wave as the LN flights came through? 🇺🇸 ...

Well done Rhubarb for an excellent report. I'm sad to have missed meeting a likeminded January enthusiast. Off driving for another few weeks otherwise we may well have crossed paths.
Jan and Feb have always been very good for watching the progress. Thank you for posting 📷
