Re: Cobra Warrior 2023 - My take
I wonder if the MRTTs are fitted with Brake To Vacate? That can be a bit sharp sometimes.

We are not people, we are merely content and can be traded as thus.

Re: New Wedgetail surveillance fleet to be based at RAF Lossiemouth
Current Government policy suggests that we simply outsource the Air Force to the USAF. No competitive procurement process necessary as it’s a national security matter.

Re: New Wedgetail surveillance fleet to be based at RAF Lossiemouth
‘Eggs all in one basket’, may have been true during WWII, but during the Cold War a couple of ICBM’s would put an end to everything anywhere within a couple of minutes. Re: Waddington 27/01/2020
Sorry, brain like fudge this afternoon. It was a KC-135 rather than an RC. Dangly bit at the back, no bath tub on the bottom!

Re: Current RAF aircraft
To hit some trains in a yard:
circa 1945 - 100 bombers, 500 crew, 1,000 bombs (plus fighter cover)
circa 2019 - 1 drone, 1 chap in a shed
I guess that'll be why.

Re: Due Waddington Sunday 3rd.
From what I could see they landed and stopped at the far end to unload. If wing clearance was an issue and they couldn't use the taxiway I was looking forward to them pushing it back the two miles to the threshold.
