Phantom XV408 lives on - Scrap rumours false

Heard a rumour that the Tangmere located (final blue livery) Phantom XV408 is to be scrapped with only the nose section only to remain. Apparently its in poor condition. Extremely sad news

Re: 75th anniversary of 16 Squadron RAF Laarbruch 5th May 1990.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread (good as it is), but does anyone have any more, or know of any images of XT279 in the black scheme. I'm just trying to make out the roundels, whether they're red/white/blue, or red/blue and if it had the yellow outlines to the roundel like that later Tornado h...

Re: RAF Sharkmouth Phantom

theres a 1/72 Fujimi sharkmouth FGR2 but not the red tailed version, thats about it kit-wise afaik. Its possible to make a 56 shark mouth red tail Phantom without the crest on the tail by cobbling together a few sheets There is a shark mouth on Modeldecal set 73 but you'd have to cut the black outli...

Re: Nikon D7100 Upgrade

I've used to have a D700 years ago which is the same sensor as the D3. Nice camera for general stuff and a bit of aviation, the D3S would be better for action stuff as it has much better AF, but remember these 12MP cameras are from 2007 (2009 D3S) and technology has moved on leaps and bounds. Not sa...

Looking For Model Alliance 72164 Decals

Thought i'd try here after a successful last try! I'm looking for the MA72164 decal sheet, particularly the Norwegian F-16 decals and the Turkish ones would be a bonus! If you know of any out there or have a part sheet to sell with these on let me know
Cheers!

Looking For Model Alliance 72128 Decals

As the title says, i'm in the market for the old Model Alliance 72128 decal sheet. Specifically i'm after the 13 and 14 Squadron Tornados decals, if anyone has a spare or used sheet they want to sell, let me know!
Cheers

Re: Nikon 70-200 vrii focus problems.

Don't give up on this lens, it is fantastic and i love mine. I only calibrate my Prime, as with zooms theres too much variance in focal length. When its right it won't disappoint, its just a shame you've lost those images

Re: Departures Day: A Winge and a Request

With tickets for Monday now sold out, you can turn up on the day and pay only. I'm not sure how this works as i usually have a ticket and can be found at the bottom of the rugby scrum somewhere when they open the gates. Do cash payers have to wait for the ticket holders to go in first??

Re: E-Infinity, anyone with experience?

I bought a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8E from them, so it cost me a fair whack, but was way cheaper than anywhere else so i thought i'd take a punt. Paid for it and heard nothing for a few days, no emails about post, tracking, just nothing. It turned up with a layer of bubble wrap and black plastic (thick bin ...
