Re: Help for the USAF
As an enemy may also use them, they should come up with a solution, as terrorist may not take notice of any request not to use them. Plus it may not be appropriate to use cannons on them :-) P. They'd only do it the once though......... Strictly tongue in cheek comment On a more serious side is the...

Some people are clearly clueless, much of it is driven by the want for most likes on Social Media.

Re: Lakenheath - nuclear store
I'm out I didn't say that the F35B could carry the B61 or the Typhoon, having the ability to store the weapons for AN Other NATO nation may prove useful. I'm fully aware that Ballistic Missile subs are our deterrent & have been since 1998. I agree they're more survivable than anything else. My point...

Re: Lakenheath - nuclear store
Agree at the moment we have nothing cleared but I'm sure in the event of needing to be certifed the process can be fast-tracked whereas if we don't have the storage it's a non-starter. I'm thinking more the US/NATO controlled weapons that various other NATO countries can carry if the need arises. I...

Re: US conducts strikes in Iraq & Syria
Did the 46's move from EGUN through anynof this? Also, anyone got the tails of the 7 x B1's which departed Lakenheath, as reported by numerous Arab sources ? They were the new & improved stealth B1 not only invisible to radar but also the naked eye & the biggest upgrade special silent engines...

Re: Lakenheath - nuclear store
There are a number of HAS at Lakenheath that were modified years ago with "vaults" to store B61s, up to 4 per vault. I'll dig a link out when I get home. All the shelters at Marham had the vaults installed as well, subsequently filled in I believe after the Special Weapons were retired. Maybe with ...

Another recommendation is buy the Dummies guide for you camera.
It breaks down all of the individual modes and settings into easily digestible topics
As mentioned practice, practice some more

Re: Panamoz and HDEW cameras?
Used HDEW plenty of times for both lenses & bodies no problems with any of them. A mate had an EOS 'R' from them that developed a fault, he instigated the warranty claim and no issues encountered with getting it repaired. IIRC the Canon 'L' lenses have a worldwide warranty so shouldn't be an issue, ...

Re: AFM - UK Defence Select Committee Report Article
Thinking outside of the Box if we require more fighter aircraft would the F35C be a possibility ? It's probe & Drogue refuelling, It's got a larger wing area allowing if to land at slower speed, longer range & Beefed up undercarriage to name a few differences. With the idea of operating from Off-Bas...

Re: Canon R7 "Black out"
I don't recall having a viewfinder blackout but I've had pauses using the electronic shutter options where I've exceeded the buffer. I've got 200Mbps write cards which I need to upgrade (when funds allow) so I know I have to remember not to keep the button pressed for too long. These mirrorless beas...

Re: IAT '77 - Greenham Common
Great to be reminded of the days when Units rather than Forces tended to be invited..... even requests for specific airframes were the order of the day from the organisers... Many an hour spent along the road on the northern fence line for the arrivals wondering what would be next.... Thanks for po...

Re: USAF is "planning" to reactivate 20-25 Cold War era airbases in Europe (Rumour)
Although there's all the issue with Electrics etc. Why not Scampton & Linton-On-Ouse both recently closed and would be better use than as a refugee camp. I do think they're meaning places further to the East of Europe in the 1st instance, unless of course they don't want to annoy the Crazy Ivans too...

I've seen somewhere a timetable for the flying days for Cobra Warrior, has anybody got it to share on here ?

Re: Canon R7 focusing
I've been to Coningsby recently with my R7 as part of the learning process moving from the 7D2. I've been using it to shoot Birds in Flight recently so used the settings from - https://youtu.be/vxbfFm79qdg?si=3uwAGvANGc8QQKMI as a starting basis. Key for me was making the Focus case 'Sticky' to prev...

Re: Lakenheath - nuclear store
I'm with the camp that they've never gone anywhere after reading this. UK Ministry of Defence said: “It remains a long-standing UK and Nato policy to neither confirm nor deny the presence of nuclear weapons at a given location.” I'd also be very surprised if they weren't stored at Welford due to it'...

Re: Top Guns Inside The RAF
I'm guessing they discount Lakenheath although technically it's still an RAF station. I'm guessing saying it's the busiest is down to the P8 being there as well. Also making a program & saying it's RAF Lossiemouth Britain's 2nd Busiest Fighter Base doesn't have quite the same wow factor.

Re: Top Guns Inside The RAF
Great watch, yes I spotted a couple of continuity errors (Like the changing helmets as mentioned), they should really have mentioned the Navy pilot I feel. Didn't spot the strange pod on the port wing will have to go back & watch it again. Thought it was also good not being 100% all about the pilots...

Q4 - They did a practice QRA from Boscombe last week so I guess that might also provide an answer to Q1 as well.
